First LEGO League Challenge Robotics Club (Grades 4/5)

Mission: Students will have the opportunity to learn teamwork, research skills and robotics to solve real world problems. Students will present their research project and demonstrate and discuss the design of their robot in a First LEGO League Competition in December. The team will have the opportunity to advance to state competitions.

Description of Planned Activities: Students will have the opportunity to meet and interview experts in the field of energy. The team will participate in a First LEGO League Regional competition here in Gwinnett County. Top teams will advance to the state competition and the winners will go to the national competition.

 

Local Affiliation: Regional and state competitions are sponsored by the Georgia First LEGO League run by Georgia Tech and First Inspires, part of LEGO International.

 

Meeting Place: STEM Lab Thursdays from 3:45-5:30 August-January
