FIRST LEGO League Challenge Robotics Club (Grades 4/5)
Mission: Students will have the opportunity to learn teamwork, research skills and robotics to solve real world problems. Students will present their research project and demonstrate and discuss the design of their robot in a First LEGO League Competition in December. The team will have the opportunity to advance to state competitions.

Description of Planned Activities: FIRST LEGO League is built on a foundation of core values (discovery, impact, innovation, teamwork, and fun) and inspires youth to experiment and grow their critical thinking, coding, and design skills through fun hands-on STEM learning and robotics using LEGO bricks. Club is limited to 10 students who are committed to the competition team (competition is held on a Saturday in December) September-December
Local Affiliation: Regional and state competitions are sponsored by the Georgia First LEGO League run by Georgia Tech and First Inspires, part of LEGO International.
Meeting Place: STEM Lab Thursdays from 3:45-5:30 August-January
