Readers Rally Club
Mission: To provide students in 5th grade with the opportunity to read from a selected list of books and dive deeper into each book and discuss important information they learn from reading each book.
Students will compete against other elementary schools in the county and answer questions about the books they have read from the list. It's like a game show and takes place on a Saturday at Peachtree Ridge Highschool. Teaches students how to pull important facts from books they read and encourages a love of reading.

Description of Activities: Students will meet to discuss books read during each meeting. Students will create questions and answers about the books they read.

The Gwinnett Readers Rally is a quiz bowl-style competition for students in grades 4 – 12. Students read books from a predetermined list and answer questions about those books. Each Gwinnett County school may send one team of up to 10 players to the Readers Rally. For the 2022-2023 school year, there were 86 teams that participated in the annual county-wide competition at Peachtree Ridge High School. The following teams were the county champions for the 2022-2023 school year: Starling Elementary School, North Gwinnett Middle School, and GSMST. The Gwinnett County Readers Rally Competition is typically held the third weekend in February each year.
Local Affiliation: 10 students from the group will be selected to participate in the Readers Rally county-wide competition at Peachtree Ridge HS in February 2024..
