Ms. Amy Crapo

Hi there! I’m Amy Crapo, one of the Professional School Counselors here at Norcross Elementary. I graduated from the University of Florida with both my Specialist and Master’s Degrees in Counselor Education, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. My husband and I moved to Atlanta from Gainesville, Florida to follow our dream jobs, and Norcross has been home to me ever since. I began teaching 1st grade here in 2002 and fell in love with this community. In 2007, I stepped into the role of School Counselor, truly the best decision I’ve ever made. I stay very involved within Gwinnett County Public Schools. I serve as a team leader on one of the Emergency Response Teams, previously chaired the counseling steering committee, and helped train all incoming elementary school counselors across the county. Supporting students and families is at the heart of everything I do. When I’m off campus, you can usually find me working out, cooking something new (my husband is a chef!), or binge watching Netflix. We have one son who is currently a student at Kennesaw State University.

You can reach me between 7:45 AM and 3:45 PM at the number listed on the left. I’m here to help however I can!

Ms. Shelby Gonzalez

Hi! My name is Shelby Gonzalez. I graduated from Georgia State University with my Master’s Degree in the School Counseling and my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a minor in Educational Psychology. I grew up in Gwinnett County and have lived in the Norcross area since I was born! Norcross has a special place in my heart and I'm thankful to be working with the community I grew up in. As a school counselor, I hope to make students have a safe space and have a home away from home.  When I’m not at work, I love to read, watch movies, and hang out with my friends. I can be reached 7:45-3:45 at the number listed to the left.
